    Major Updates!
    Saturday, December 22, 2007 @ 1:24 AM

Howdy, guys! :D I have just arrived in Singapore back from Antartica! Haha! Hey, just kidding, alright? :D Or perhaps, from the Atlantic Ocean..? Lol! Anyway, just in case you guys were wondering why I've been absent from my blog for so long, and were thinking that I might somehow be lost in the Bermuda Triangle or whatsoever, don't worry! Actually, the reason I've disappeared without a trace for the past one month is because I stand strong to Aaron's belief that one only posts on his blog if he personally feels like updating, not because of any obligations or other's constant requests for him to write, if not, keeping a blog as an online diary is particularly pointless if what he writes is not his true feelings. I know what you guys would be thinking now- Valencia is doing her weird Aaron thing again.. Well, that's not true cus I really agree with him that if there's no inspiration to write and you insist on writing, what turns out in the end would be something crappy, content-less and most importantly, not genuine. Others might not be able to discern, but you yourself can sense that it's not you.

    School Holiday!
This school holiday has been pretty boring in the start. I've officially been withdrawn from choir and also, declined the offer to participate in COALS leadership training program because of my transfer to TJC through IP. So, considering that I'm will no longer be a student in Cedar next year, I've decided that I have to let this wonderful opportunity to slip by and give other Cedarians a chance in the camp. Anyway, Ms P*** has already made herself clear that IP-students do not deserve a chance to participate in this program as they would then be training those who would be leaving them, and it's not worth it. I guess that's how it should be then.. :
Since the start of October, my daily routine would be to 'rise and shine' in mid-day at about noon and have lunch in front of my precious television...., watching any programmes or dramas that appeal to me. And after a couple of hours, sashay my way to the fridge and grab some chocolates and icecream, or rummage through the kitchen, searching high and low for any appetising snacks. That's how I've put on pounds and kgs this winter.. If I look different(chubbier, in any way) when you see me, please comply and keep your comments to the minimum! :D Also, I've been suffering with pain in silence all the while, with sore aches here and there, and sharp and sudden pain. Who knew those metallic bands could be so powerful and torturous? The pain is overbearing and intolerable, and two thumbs up for those who survived the process! :D I admire the courage you possess to be able to pull through this tormenting experience!
    Wu Geng Lin, Aaron!
Patience is really the key to avoid any conflictions and arguments. That's something I learnt from Aaron. To think before you act, that certainly reduces the amount of trouble you get into as you would then be aware of the consequences of your actions. Aaron really is a great role model that I look up to completely. Aaron has been a tremendous influence to me in a positive way. His blog contains the most profound content and thoughts, which I found to be extremely similar to mine, just in Mandarin. Now, I have gained much interest in improving my chinese and I have found the language to be interesting too, which will urge me to continue working hard to achieve my aim to be well-versed in both english and chinese.
So, don't discourage my feelings for Wu Geng Lin, as I don't treat him like a passing craze or idol fever, my love for him is pure and authentic.
    Advanced Christmas Party!
Today was Christmas Party Day!- an annual celebration with my beloved neighbours and childhood friends! Amanda couldn't make it as she had to attend practice for her big day tomorrow. :'( So, it was only Kelvin, Kristal, Sis and me. We had a really memorable night, starving til eleven pm cus we were too broke to afford any food for potluck this christmas. Haha! We talked about our lives, about our unforgettable trips overseas(fyi, KKTans went to China.), what we bought and the money we spent. We played poker, took pictures and joked around. Kelvin's a really funny person. I was really entertained by his weird antics, amusing expressions and actions. I laughed so hard my sides hurt. It's amazing how he got so hilarious in a few months. It's like he changed overnight, in a good way though. :D! Everyone changes, including Kristal! Growing up.., she is more mature too, and prettier maybe? Haha! At 13 years old, she has already become a heck of an icon in school with all the popularity stuff eh? Lol! That's pretty cool. As I attentively listen to her reciting her exciting life and love(haha!) experiences, I wonder to myself that she might have aged more than I have, with such an eventful life and so on... I probably am younger-at-heart than she is! Seeing everyone evolve into such wonderful people really brings me joy. Everyone changes, but the same old nuzzy and warm feeling still remains inside. It's always so cosy being with you guys like we're one big family, and it's amazing how our friendship stays so strong after so long. I'm exceptionally glad to have made such awesome brother and sisters like you guys! I LOVE YOU, MY BELOVED FRIENDS! :D
    Holiday in Malaysia!
Our trip to KL was great! It was mostly for the shopping that we went there. But we also visited places of attraction like the Batu Caves, where we met with plenty of mischevious monkeys, so playful they attempted to snatch a plastic bag from Bella, but failed, and the Royal Selangor, where we learnt how pewter is formed and pewter products are made and crafted. We travelled by coach there; it was very comfortable, with an LCD television screen installed for each seat to keep ourselves entertained. During the journeys to and fro, I watched a total of three and a half movies in twelve hours: Da Vinci Code (half), Garfield 2, Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire and Baby's Day Out respectively.
Taxi fares in Malaysia are overly-priced. The fares are not determined by the meter, but by the amount the driver quotes you. They are much more expensive compared to Singapore. Also, there are serious jam problems almost everywhere you go in KL. Every car moves around aggressively, with sudden and unexpected turns to cut into lanes. It's definitely dangerous to drive in Malaysia as not everything is within your control, so those who are planning to have a visit there, be prepared and careful! You don't wanna get into an accident!

The hotel we checked into was the AnCasa Hotel. I find it average and not exactly luxurious like most of the others I've been to, but I'll settle for that because it's located near this nightmarket-like place called Chinatown. At Chinatown, you find the place bustling with people and activity. It's like a more energetic Singapore Pasar Malam, just that you can bargain to lower prices of goods you want to an extraodinary low price. We didn't get anything there though, as most of them are not suitable for us, or its just that we hadn't got enough money as we had already busted our budget. Haha! The place is humongous, comprising of four long lanes and many small shops set up.
Most shopping centres in Malaysia are enormous!, especially the two that we went to. Mid Valley Megamall really lives up to its name. This Megamall is gigantic! It almost took ages to walk finish a whole storey and there were about 4 or 5 levels! I didn't really buy much there as the stuff are pretty expensive and it consist or more adult boutiques like G2000 and Esprit. Time Square was more suitable for lively and vibrant youths like me! :D Haha! What a huge mall it was, with over 10 levels of lovely and affordable shopping goodness! Even a whole day there would not be enough for one to walk that single mall down. 6 hours of intense shopping only allowed us to complete slightly less than 5 levels, and oh-so-disappointed we were! There was still so much left for us to explore!
This trip to KL was indeed satisfying and gratifying. I definitely enjoyed the 4 days and 3 nights spent there and I look forward to many other plausible trips to other cheap shopping paradise(s)! I would also love to have adventurous trips to explore corners of the world, waiting to be unveiled! Maybe someday I'll have a chance! :D
