YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES
The first sight that greeted me when we finally reached Padang by MRT. I was like, WOW. This was amazing. The whole place was occupied and packed fully with shades of red, green and white. Everyone was all hyped up, dancing and cheering, ready to received any news of the YOG final bid results.
To start off, different groups performed, including this percussion group and guests Darren Tan, Chen Diya and Hady Mirza, as the crowd sang around with them enthusiastically. When the results were announced, immediate screams and cheers pierced the air, and we all, shocked and stunned, practically jumped all over with delight.
The result of the exploding of paper decors after the announcement of results.
SINGAPORE EMERGED VICTORIOUS!
Yay!! We saw the Cedar flag flying proudly and waving at us there! WHOO! Though I didn't notice any Cedarians there, I could sense the Cedar spirit no matter what. :D I'm so glad I'm part of this. :D
We were all making our way home at 8 plus at night when suddenly cousin called me. I DIDN'T KNOW SHE WAS HERE! I was so shocked to see her there. She was playing photographer there. :D
Happy Valentine's Day!
Haha I know it's rather late and all.., but Happy Valentine's Day still. (or Friendship Day, as you call it in TJ) This is an extremely special day for me, cus of the 'striking' resemblance of it and my name. haha. LOL. I know I'm weird. heheh. Just kidding! It's so special cus it reminds me of the unforgettable memories of the Valentine's we had in Cedar. It's the day where every single one would prepare gifts to wish others romantic love lives with. Haha! And everybody would take this occasion very, very seriously. I MISS CEDAR NOW..! :'( But Valentine's in TJ wasn't that bad either. Anyhoo, some of us did spend some effort celebrating this occasion but it's the thought that counts anyway. I know everyone had every intention of wishing others well. Haha. But of course, it would be better in Cedar. :D Hoped everyone had a memorable Valentine's Day like I did!
AND, not forgetting Aaron! I doodled this in Math tuition a few weeks ago. :D On this once-a-year occasion, I sincerely confess:
I LOVE YOU, 庚霖! (oh my, I'm practically thinking of him every second. How am i to survive?)
This was the poem I wrote on my view on friendship and was surprisingly published on Temasek Times(*blushing*) :D :
FRIENDSHIP
The hands that lead you through the forest
Of fear, panic, despair,
The lights which guide you out of the caves
Of solitude beyond repair,
The stars that shine to warm your heart
When tears of grief descend,
A million hearts on paper penned
To show you that they care.
The forces that push your greatest limit,
The better you will fare.
The fun that keeps you company,
Oh, how they are so rare.
The love that keeps you going on,
The priceless one you share.
The ones who live through your darkest times
True friends are always there.
Happy Lunar New Year!
Yes, I know these late greetings are getting annoying but Happy Chinese New Year anyway! :D I hope you had a prosperous and enjoyable CNY!
This was the only photo I took with my phone. haha. We were visiting one of our relatives. My sis loves her reflection so that's how this photo came about. It was purely her. (she's so gonna kill me)haha. :D
YAY! I've finally updated. I feel so accomplished now. :D The next post will be quite a long wait away I'm sorry! And TAG, for goodness sake. LOOK AT MY BOARD! It goes back to December! Oh well, anyway I update for the sake of keeping a journal.. So..,
