Dearest RTF!
I hope you're reading this and haven't given up checking back at this abandoned space for this long-awaited long-promised blog post for you! I've been crazily busy recently, with school having begun and the intensity is only going to continue rising. BUTTTT.. I will definitely keep updating here for you and only youuuu! :D
It has been exactly 16 days since you have been gone..and I really hope that you're having a wonderful time over at Leeds and travelling around the UK! It's really heartening and relieving to know that you're safe there and slowly but gradually adapting to the lifestyle and weather there. How've you been recently! Has the jetlag gotten a teeny bit better, at least? Have you been eating well and sleeping comfortably..? Please take care of yourself, especially now that you're alone there without anyone supervising your sleeping and eating habits. Please do rest and eat sufficiently alright! I don't want to see a skin-and-bones Rtf when she comes back... T.T It's awesome to know that you've been able to spot really cheap and value-for-money food at the supermarts there, especially in Sainsbury with your insane great "Subway" cookies and your 8x pancakes hahaha. Howeverrrrr, remember - Rating: F!!!! x) Do take out some time to also spend on good healthy and nutritious foods like broccoli and fresh chicken and fish (not fish fingers) and also indulge in some recipe-searching and kitchen-rampaging sessions so you can cook your own meals! At least once in a while, yeah! Don't torture yourself over there by scrimping and saving because good food is good food and it is beneficial for your body. Better than eating preservatives, chemicals and once-hardened food right...? :D mmhmm, I know you must be thinking, "Ok...ok... I will tryyyyy...". NOOO! Do it ;D Or I will send my spies all over UK to hunt you down and install a CCTV in your room to make sure you look after yourself well!
Anyway, it's Chinese New Year now~! Don't feel disappointed that you can't be in town to celebrate it... It's yet another memorable experience, isn't it? Spending CNY over at UK and probably having your own CNY gathering and steamboats and whatnot with the Singaporeans and Chinese (the ones who invited you to the 什么春节festival BWAHAHA)! Also, if you look on the bright side, at least no unlimited servings of pineapple tarts and bakwas and kueh bangkits and love letters and prawn rolls to increase your "风" and "气" heheh. I bet if you ever (but I hope you don't have to though) go back to your underground Chinese chiropractic doctor after your return, he will have much nice things to say about your improved health and more decreased levels of air/heatiness and idk what else he is implying when he uses those terms in your body! :D Keeping that in mind, don't replace too much of what you're missing out for CNY with your packaged food also too!! If not all your efforts will go down to waste... :S
Speaking of efforts, I really do hope that you're living college life up to the fullest in Leeds! Study minimally and have fun maximally! (haha why do I sound like such a bad influence.... :/ but hey, that's what everyone advises you right?) What I mean is to do what you feel like you truly want to do, like the readings you're actually truly interested in, and not ones that you have to force yourself to trudge through, cus that's what an overseas liberal education is about right - being creative and doing what you actually love. It's comforting to know that you'll be having such a long Easter break and that you'll be travelling across the Western side of the globe to my favourite places, including Spain~~! Thank goodness you've found a friend whom you're close enough with and also similar to you in terms of travel destination preferences. What a great coincidence - thank God! Remember to snap many many beautiful shots as you comb the UK and Spain/Italy etc etc from top to bottom - and don't forget to send some of these to muaaaa :D Or else I'll feel so lonely.... T.T
Rtf, I hope you're missing me as much as I'm missing you.... hahah. You've many many countless of friends and family members back over in Singapore thinking of you and wishing for your well-being every single waking moment, so don't ever feel like you're lost, helpless and all alone. Our thoughts and well wishes will always be with you and these feelings of longing and support will take you through this semester and make you feel at home. Stay strong as the next few days go on..., and look forward to the upcoming Easter break! :D I can't wait to see what the West has to offer to you.., and I sure hope it'll be an amazing, fabulous, and thoroughly enjoyable and eye-opening experience for you! Keep safe, stay lovely, and continue keeping in contact hor! Don't abandon me like you have already done physically... T.T
HAHA just kidding dear Rtf. Hee. (I wonder if you'll actually see this, but I've got faith in you and our telepathic skills!)
Love youuuuu ^~^
Valencia.
